Is Linus being an ass, yes. Has he always been an ass, yes. Howvever I honestly don't think bailing on "Linux" as a whole is fair because of a single kernel developer. There are a lot of good people in the Linux community, fighting a good fight. If some dipshit is found in a software project, we find alternatives. But with the kernel, that is more difficult to do. At least with the kernel Linus is 1 of many and not to sound like a shit, but Linus is not a spring chicken. He's older than I am. I'm more disappointed in Linux Distros for swallowing the systemd Kool-Aid than for Linus's mouth at this point.
