@tobykurien@mastodon.social besides that, there are even more disadvantages of XMPP, like groups being centralized and dependent on the server where they are created, read here: https://fosstodon.org/@arcanechat/115963841644398921 anyways since Delta Chat introduced multi-homing and your profile doesn't depend on a single server, it is on a complete different league than current xmpp clients @bytes4life@mastodon.gal

@tobykurien@mastodon.social Ok. So main Deltachat advantage is e-mail. We allready have e-mail for e-mail, meaning asynchronous communication. I still preferring XMPP for messaging. E-mail exists many years before XMPP. Then appears XMPP because inatant messaging requirements are different. Let's keep things separated.
