Ok. So main Deltachat advantage is e-mail.
We allready have e-mail for e-mail, meaning asynchronous communication.
I still preferring XMPP for messaging.
E-mail exists many years before XMPP. Then appears XMPP because inatant messaging requirements are different. Let's keep things separated.

@bytes4life@mastodon.gal I think you are missing a lot details, e.g. webxdc apps in deltachat, user experience similar to WhatsApp/Telegram, no username/password to remember, cannot get spammed (private messaging only), etc. But if XMPP suits your purposes fine, then I'd say stick with it 👍
