Yes, everything is inherently political.
But I feel that a lot of people’s politics are purely reactionary in nature.
The tech space has fallen into the same neoliberal tendencies we see in other spaces where the wrong identity politics get played.
We are quick to demonize someone for how they do things instead of looking at the historical and material reasons as to why we got here.
And the space is kept too busy for anyone to really dig into it.

I fear that the tech space will be some of the last to gain class consciousness because we’ve always been ostracized and “othered”. We then formed tribes and attacked those who do things differently and refuse to work with others who may be aligned but have one ideological difference. And that saddens me to no end because I know there is humanity here and the tech community is sorely needed for the fight for working-class liberation.
