Years ago I learned that domestic abuse rises when England's men's team lose a big match. It's haunted me ever since, leaving me on edge when I know the games are happening (yeah I was a lot of fun at parties, why do you ask). I fervently wish for their early from tournaments, yet was conflicted because them losing feels so dangerous.
