That’s the thing. I was introduced to Platner by campaign materials and friendly bios showing up in my feed. At most I heard of the tat and some online discourse from a long time ago. I didn’t know of his history of violence or his war crimes during his military service. When it came to actually researching candidates, I was focusing on the ones we have here in California. And we too have our problematic ones.
