In 1975 I didn't want to pay 10 cents for a pay phone call to tell my parenta to pick me up at my school. I discovered that if you put the dime in and dialed the number then when they picked up the phone you said quickly, "Comepickmeupatschool" then hung up, you could get your dime back! It was annoying when my sister picked up because she didn't know the trick & talked to long. Just her answer was too long. "Spocko Residence Michael Burham speaking." as we were trained to do.
