For inside air quality on the cheap + quiet, @datasaurus@mastodon.social and I highly recommend the units from https://www.cleanairkits.com/ We have several of their 5-fan luggables and they are always running and dead quiet. They use off-the-shelf filters you can buy at any US hardware store -- you just replace them once or twice a year. The DIY kits are very easy to assemble. I know this is too little too late for some of y'all dealing with #wildfire #smoke but hopefully it will help someone!
