@deirdresm@hachyderm.io fender has gone the IBM route (if you can't innovate, litigate) for years. i know a luthier with small production (< 25 instruments a year) who got a cease and desist for a telecaster shaped uke. wasn't electric, wasn't solid body, was a uke/not guitar, he'd made maybe 6 of them?
