Cursor will run anything called git.exe when you open it, but it isn't the only one. As a fork of VS Code, Cursor has inherited this behavior from its questionable parentage.

@ifin@infosec.exchange I have been unable to reproduce this in a freshly installed VSCode (Version 1.129.0 installed via winget). Maybe more specific conditions (specific installed extensions, SDKs, etc.) are needed?
