A survey by TV show HART VAN NEDERLAND (a long-running, news-like program) revealed in February that nearly a third of Dutch drivers have at some point found themselves in an "undesirable situation" as a result of following their navigation system that uses GPS and a digital map. A small portion of them faced serious danger, driving into oncoming traffic, onto railway tracks, too close to water, as well as other risky situations.
