i was just curious about how they fired clay tablets and apparently they sometimes fire them in kilns but a lot of the historical record is from ones that were effectively kiln fired in accidental fires. well it didn't say accidental it could have been arson. its like reverse paper

its like if you had a way better chance of making it into the long term archaeological record if you had a lot of cvs receipts and your house burned down
