@d1ss0nanz@mastodon.social @tante@tldr.nettime.org I mean, you don't *have* to use child labour. You *can* choose to pay adults. Live and let live! "Just fork it" dismisses the ethical question. Seeing as Torvalds is the BDFL of the Linux kernel, it is his privilege to take that approach --- as he has done consistently for decades. He is by no means a Free Software proponent and falls firmly in the Open Source camp. But not everyone is satisfied with ignoring the ethical questions.
