I’ve spent 20 years in a house of white and off-white because my ex hated bright colors. And I couldn’t decorate anything because I “have no style” or I “don’t understand colors” or I “make things feel chaotic and messy.”
My friend walked into my bedroom once and said “You’re not in this room at all.”
That shit is changing.

I fucking love that just over half my walls is a super saturated hot pink described as revealing “a bold, unapologetic style.” I just chose the color I liked the best. Even when I chose it, I brought the swath home thinking “probably not that one tho, because it’s a bit much.” Then was immediately like “THAT IS NOT MY VOICE!” I don’t want to hide the parts of me that I love anymore.
