woke up angry this morning because I don’t have any light bulbs I can depend on lasting for a decade and people act like this is an unreasonable desire.
yet the centennial bulb still functions.

I grew up being told stories about how hard it is to engineer and manufacture an incandescent bulb that’s bright and has longevity. It is, of course, all bullshit. Light bulb manufacturers are, as far as I know, the origin of the entire concept of “planned obsolescence” and the commonplace collusion of corporate cretins.
