@amcooper@toot.cat I grew up in NE Philly, and I only remember calling it "sidewalk grass" as opposed to the lawn. I'm still in Philly, but have been in South Philly for decades, and that strip doesn't really exist on the sidewalks around here.

@Seandar16@dice.camp Ok just gonna say it. When I was growing up, "the Great Northeast" (as my mom called it) and South Philly seemed to be so different, that your move kinda shocked me at first. But I haven't been back in years, and I hear South Philly has changed a lot.
