@scrublordnito@tech.lgbt I remember when the word was coined. I was like what tf do we need ANOTHER word for "program" for???

@wyatt_h_knott@mstdn.social Atari ST with it's GEM graphical desktop from 1985 had both .PRG and .APP file endings. There was no difference between them - to me having grown up with that those two words have always meant exactly the same thing. @scrublordnito@tech.lgbt
