On the rails again…
Today @wendy@mendeddrum.org and I are taking a journey to Warszawa. This will be our first time in Poland, and so we are excited!
We are going on a loco-hauled PKP Intercity EuroCity train from Leipzig Hbf to Wrocław Główny. And then with a tight connection onto a train to Warszawa Zachodnia.
There I’ll be meeting up with a friend, and spend a day or two sightseeing, before we head up to Gdańsk.

I'm not sure what I was expecting with these trains, I’ve heard a lot of shade thrown at PKP Intercity… My first impression is that this carriage is noisy. You can hear - and feel! - the trundling of the wheels under the carriage. It doesn't help that whilst the car claims to be air conditioned, that seems to be somewhat anecdotal. So we have to travel with the window and door open, adding to the noise level. The seats are pretty comfortable, but since they are facing, leg room is an issue, and the little fold-out tables are not exactly ideal for putting a laptop on.
