Update: 4 hours + this is getting close to half the actual@flight time being on the ground, at what point is it considered a kidnapping?

I'm using the Alaska flight as a reference, but note that there are at least 3 BA flights from the US/Canada, that have been on the ground waiting for a gate for at least 5 hours.
