Just a reminder that when you are using the built-in VPN feature in Firefox, you are opting to route your traffic through Mullvad. Mozilla does not make this clear in the interface. Mullvad is co-owned by a man whom privately donated 5M Swedish kronor (presumably from company earnings) to a populist, ultra-nationalist & racist political party advocating for forced repatriation of immigrant populations. @JulianOliver@mastodon.social @cygnathreadbare@retro.pizza Was using #mullvad until recently (not as part of #firefox). Changed to #ivpn and couldn’t be happier. People need to care where their money is going and change their purchasing decisions.

@JulianOliver@mastodon.social as far as I know, the product advertised as Mozilla VPN is provided by #Mullvad. The proxy behind the built-in free VPN is Fastly: https://www.fastly.com/blog/we-built-proxy-behind-firefoxs-new-built-in-vpn-heres-how-it-works Doesn't change the fact that #Mozilla is still partnering with Mullvad
