The smoke from the Dovestones fire is like nothing I've ever known short of being around building fires. I'm almost 40 miles away right now and the air absolutely stinks of smoke. You can see the haze in the air, and my eyes have been itching even when inside the house - which also smells. All because some idiots decides to let off fireworks on tinder-dry moorland, which they then laughed about.
