@n_dimension@infosec.exchange That’s a clever move and a necessary one, but without mandating those #Datacentres develop their own renewable energy source, they will will have a monumental impact on the consuption of electricity that has to come from somewhere… potentially imported into SA. At what costs to the consumer? At what cost to the environments? At what cost to Emission targets? The devil is very much in the details. I’m not across them but I can ask questions and remain sceptical about #GenAISlop #ComputingFarms.
