The prairie is not particularly colorful right now but I did find some blooms. Lots of "pagoda plant," and some Culver's root, American bellflower, white avens, "eastern enchanter's nightshade," and white snakeroot. The neighbor's red monarda cultivar is creeping in. Not native, but I'll allow it for now 'cause it's purty. Also found Fox sedge, eastern bottlebrush grass, Sprengel's sedge (leaves/blades over 7 feet long!), "troublesome sedge" (poor thing - it hasn't caused me any trouble...yet).
