For more than a decade, farmers have been fighting for the right to fix the machines they own. Now, the FTC settlement with John Deere marks a massive win! Deere must give farmers and independent repair shops access to the same repair software, manuals, and repair capabilities it provides to authorized dealers.

Yes. Indeed that is an important step, in the right direction. Needless to say, this must apply to all manufacturers. And every device and machine must be repairable, within reasonable, but very broad limits. @iFixit@mastodon.social
