On the rails again… #DTicket
Today @darkphoenix@not.an.evilcyberhacker.net, @wendy@mendeddrum.org and I are heading to Wörlitz.
We’re hoping to find some interesting trains on the Dessau-Wörlitz Eisenbahn, and Wendy and I will also be visiting the Dessau-Wörlitz Garden Realm.
But for the moment, we’re grabbing a nice and well-kept Bombardier Talent 2, on a regional train to Dessau.

And as we leave the rail yard and maintenance works around Leipzig Hbf, I spot the roundhouse, with modern shutters on the bays, and locomotives parked in front of the closed shutters, meaning the turntable is still in active use. I didn’t manage to snap a photo, but it’s great to see that old infrastructure still has a place in this modern world.
