tangentially related to the https://human-emacs.org project, I've been thinking about distro policies several distros have no-LLM policies applying to packaging scripts, but afaict no one is tracking LLM infection in the upstreams themselves, probably because it's just a huge amount of work and no one distro could be expected to actually keep track of all that! if I hadn't just started this Human Emacs project, I would be looking at coordinating across distros and coming up with some way to pool effort to track which upstreams are infected, which have strong protections in place, which are at risk, and how badly similar to the "vibe-check" package metadata suggested by @cwebber@social.coop here: https://codeberg.org/guix/guix-consensus-documents/pulls/13#issuecomment-15774065 if you're looking at all this wondering "what can I do about all this?" I'd suggest approaching it from this direction, especially if you have experience packaging and working with distros

@technomancy@hey.hagelb.org @cwebber@social.coop late to this, sorry - vacation. As someone who contributes to both Fedora and Debian currently, and am increasingly leaning towards dedicating some proper time to get into Guix, the 'vibe-check' concept sounds really appealing. The best listing of tainted software I know right now is https://codeberg.org/ethical-foss/open-slopware (I'm compiling a list of resources here: https://semble.so/profile/michel-slm.name/collections/3mqkd5nzyh22e) They do already have a tagging system in place with roughly similar colour-coding.

@technomancy@hey.hagelb.org Can I get my name on this lisp. I followed the page to the irc and the irc told me to ping you directly. You could link either of I guess https://toobnix.org/a/screwtape/videos or https://screwlisp.small-web.org/ depending if you are feeling more superdimensional or oncological. @cwebber@social.coop
