Driving back from a quick errand this morning I came upon a flock of about 2 dozen Canadian geese slowly crossing the road to get to a favorite pond. They take their damn time and are protected in Illinois. So, I put on my emergency blinkers, set the car in park, and listened to the entirety of "Gimme Shelter" by the Rolling Stones playing my car radio (WXRT) and watched the cars behind me patiently wait for the geese to cross a two-lane road. Took about 4+ minutes. Honk. 🚙 🪿
