@galaxy_map@mastodon.social Some funding schemes interpret "AI" very broadly and fund Bayesian projects. I have a PhD student starting in Sept focusing mostly on Bayesian phylogenetics and modelling (with a bit of machine learning classification) under such a scheme.

@drmambobob@ecoevo.social glad that you could be creative. Since most astrophysical parameters are estimated using Bayesian probability I wonder if telescopes could be rebranded as Bayesian data collection devices.
