Working on my Chinese Auntie zine. I am going to do a full double spread on what you would find in a Chinese Auntie's handbag. So far, I have: Tissues, White Flower Oil, White Rabbit lollies, folded up plastic bags, a hand fan (for singers and hong kong aunties), a plastic soup spoon. What else? #cantonese

Working on this zine has made me think of my mum a lot. Her language was so vivid when she was mad LOL. For example, she would tell us kids we were born in the dark times, or she would leave us in the dark ghost village if we didn't behave. Then she would say stuff like I laughed like a vacuum cleaner and I was a cookie pattern cut from my dad. It is really sad that I have forgotten so much, but it's sad when I remember too #family
