One of the really solid interviews today spoke with a woman who caught the shooting on her doorbell camera. When asked about people who might blame the victim she first explained how she was concerned about the cop shooting in the face, she didn't even realize it was ICE at first. "I don't know what he did, but he didn't deserve to be exected in the street" "You weren't there" US cops are so well liked... witnesses to ICE crimes mistake them for the locals at first just the act was enough.

The above interview is so good because she touches on the forces that keep so many Americans asleep about serious issues in our country. It's the affordability, quite and almost feeling like many rural areas are far and away from those national policy choices. There's a desire to forget the world outside of small towns and hope the world's inflation, failing job economy and war forgets about your town in turn. But ICE goons marching in smalltown America really breaks that dream state.
