The above interview is so good because she touches on the forces that keep so many Americans asleep about serious issues in our country. It's the affordability, quite and almost feeling like many rural areas are far and away from those national policy choices.
There's a desire to forget the world outside of small towns and hope the world's inflation, failing job economy and war forgets about your town in turn.
But ICE goons marching in smalltown America really breaks that dream state.

As someone whose been stopped by armed local cops THIRTY times this year over false claims I think it's important that American's continue to make the link that general US policing is far too dangerous and deadly for ANY town in America. Violent police stops are ROUTINE for Black Americans and have been for hundreds of years. I am no exception and saldy increasingly immigrants are also facing this SAME state violence.
