The open internet really is making a comeback IMO. Around 90% of my personal communications now happen over federated networks (mostly Matrix). Blogging has never felt more alive. I subscribe to ~100 RSS feeds. We're all here on the Fediverse, and the UX of clients and the web has improved to the point that it's better than the walled gardens! Heck, I even set up an IRC bridge on my Matrix server last night 😂 Even with all the terrible stuff going on in the world, there's a bright side!
