@draNgNon@hachyderm.io Several of those listed as opposing Shumer have called for him to be replaced. Others refused to say they supported him when asked. It is not much discussed, but there is a quiet civil war raging within tge Senate. Names that have been mentioned for Leader are Chris Van Hollen, Elizabeth Warren and Chris Murphy.

@mastodonmigration@mastodon.online I was thinking about incumbents in the RHS column, and especially the CA senators. IIRC, Chris Murphy has the virtue of honesty when it comes to the practicality of being a Senator. didn't he admit the 2024 outcome had to do with fundraising? anyhow, I'd guess he would have the most support. other corrections: Platner has withdrawn Fetterman might flip so he's as unknown as Talerico. it's Sherrod Brown (with an e not an a)
