today in “traffic shit between my cafe and the local park”: a *city* truck run a stop sign, after honking repeatedly for the car in front of it to go. The car in front of it was not going, and getting honked at, *because it was waiting for 20 toddlers to cross in the crosswalk*.

lolsob, I was so annoyed by the truck’s honking that I didn’t process that the driver was patiently waiting for the toddlers *so that the car driver could drive the wrong way up a one way street*.

@luis_in_brief@social.coop you sure he was honking out of frustration? Any good truck driver worth his license would be honking because toddlers LOVE big construction / special purpose trucks, and it’s SO COOL when one of them actually acknowledges you. My kiddo LOVES when the trash truck comes by… he races out to the curb and covers his ears just to the driver can honk for him.
