For months I've had issues with my AudioEngine speakers developing a hum. I've swapped cables, reconnected a million times, ditched the motherboard audio jack for a new external DAC, upgraded from 3.5 MM aux to RCA, even changed the main guts in the powered speaker. Nothing corrected the issue. I just remembered that my "office" is split between two AC outlets: One is grounded (newer) where the powered speakers are plugged in, and the other isn't (original to the house) which powers the UPS/PC etc. Now running a short three-prong extension cord from the grounded outlet to the UPS... So far, no hum. Was it seriously this easy? 👀
