@thickurt@woof.group it's part dietary, part pharmaceutical (oral semiglutide as a result of diabetes type 2 diagnosis back in April) and partly upping my physical activity levels. I was at 133kg (I'm only 5'8) mostly from bad diet and laziness.
No real goals other than reversing the diagnosis, not a fan of all the meds etc - or the idea of having a stroke or going blind, heh. slowly adding some casual weights to stop the semaglutide stripping muscle along with fat and we'll see I used to gym years ago

@ieatfog@mastodon.social good for you for taking big steps to make your life better. You'll be so grateful for this as you age! I love the idea of regular strength and durability training. Just working on having a strong body so a slip on some ice doesn't unhinge your spine, or a mis-step on a trail doesn't cause a fall! I've been calling it "durability training" and I'm kind of wondering about making an app for it for my husband. He just needs something to easily follow! Maybe that would be fun to make
