Good Morning #Canada
I have some local #History for you today. OTD in 1861, the Emily May steamship was launched from the shipyard at #BelleEwart. She was a side-wheeler, measuring 47m ) in length by 7.3 in width, capable of sustained speeds of 35 km/h. The Emily May steamed around Lake Simcoe for two decades, connecting the railway station at Belle Ewart to towns around the lake. Sadly in 1882 she caught fire while anchored in Belle Ewart.

Good Morning #Canada Yesterday I posted some #History about my new neighbourhood and today I have a #RoadTrip suggestion for our previous home. My wife, daughters, dogs and I spent 3 decades hiking the trails in Caledon, when we lived in Brampton and later just south of Belfountain. This video covers a trail network that was a 15 minute walk from our former home on Mississauga Road. It brought back a lot of memories. #CanadaIsAwesome https://youtu.be/wWYhdum6XOk
