So, Costco wouldn't let me sign in, claiming my password was wrong. When I requested a code to be sent to my e-mail, they claimed no such account existed, but when I tried to create a new account they said I couldn't because an account with that e-mail already existed!
So I try to login with my old account credentials again, double checking the password, and suddenly realize part of the password is missing even after I paste it!
...At some point Costco decided to limit the password length to just 16 characters. My password is 20 characters. I can no longer type in my password.
If I had a nickel for every time this has happened to me, I'd have two nickels, which isn't much, but it's weird that it happened twice.

@cloudhop@equestria.social I'm glad I'm not the only one who went through this fever dream of a login flow debacle, I was just about losing my fucking mind going through that process

@cloudhop@equestria.social if the pasword is hashed, it's no use of limiting the max length of the password, but if it's stored in clear text ...
