This BYD sodium-ion battery is able to substitute an EPR nuclear reactor's entire power for over 6 continuous hours - and while nuclear is also dispatchable to a degree, a battery is infinitely more so. Oh, and it apparently will be available for less than a thousandth of the cost of an EPR nuclear power station.
