A thought/feeling that bubbled up over the weekend... Many of us who work in software development are being told loudly and often how excited we should be that AI can* now write code - so we can concentrate on other things instead. It's weird to me that anyone would expect people who chose a profession/field of study based on their interest in an activity to be bubbly and enthusiastic about *not* getting to do it any longer. *quality/accuracy/basic function may vary
