@cptbutton@dice.camp @diazona@techhub.social @cherizilla@retro.pizza yea, it's not entirely nonsense, an infrared detector is just picking up light at such-and-such wavelength, and those do fall in IR. Not sure if that's reasonable for body heat, but it's a hell of a lot less unreasonable than most movies would give us (especially in 1981)
