Toilet is still making the loud "whistling" sound after a flush. Now I have to take the lid off the tank and jiggle things around, otherwise it won't stop running. Water in the bowl stays at the same level, just keeps running water though. Don't have the budget for a plumber, but a few years ago, my son replaced the entire toilet in his trailer next door and it still works fine. Last time I tried to fix the toilet, back when the ex was still here, I managed to somehow bust the tank, so don't trust myself with a repair. I'm thinking that just the inner workings of the tank need replacing, which I looked up online, and are affordable. Think I'll see if Andrew would be up to the chore if I get the parts, since a plumber is out of the question budget wise. SSI doesn't go far.
