@PapyrusBrigade@cosocial.ca It's a sad situation. People love their library ebooks, quite rightly, but how that works behind the scenes is all about rent-taking, restrictive licenses, and endless payments. The concentration of ownership, sometimes in private hands, in libraries and publishing is little known but astonishing. The profit margins are remarkable.

@PapyrusBrigade@cosocial.ca Yea, I loved library ebooks but stopped using them, and now just take out physical books. It’s a shame we can’t have anything good
