One of the reasons I deleted my FB account about oh 7-8 years ago was the nonstop barrage of ads plus the creepy surveillance tech shoving ads at me for shit I’d looked at elsewhere. Thanks to ad-blocker tech in browsers that’s all history now. I simply never see them. But there’s no as blocker for email apps or any other apps. Just browsers. Which is why all the big social media platforms basically force you to use their client apps, at least on mobile. Maybe some day these assholes will realize their ad cannons just piss users off and they’re 99.9% ineffective anyway. But not today.
