Holy shit. While I was revisiting the idea of of automatically syncing my activities from Strava's walled garden to my own website, I noticed they just raised the wall quite a bit: from now on, only Strava users with subscription can use the API to access their own data!

Just noticed Strava has country-specific pricing and only charge about 6.5 EUR when paid monthly or 42 EUR yearly in Hungary. I might just bite the bullet and pay the ransom to get API access to my own data.

@mrc@mastodon.berlin all my activities are saved as individual fit files on my hdd. Never got a better device than the garmin 500 :)
