@aphyr@woof.group @deadliftbear@mas.to Clacton is the town. A 'by-election' is the formal term for an election that happens outside of the usual cycle. This one is happening because Farage doesn't want to be suspended following investigation for taking undeclared millions from foreign 'investors' so is quitting as an MP so he can restand for election immediately. Its like quitting so you don't get sacked for gross misconduct only to apply for the job vacancy your resignation created.
