@iagox86@infosec.exchange Do you know people in a local bike club? Most people I know who had success recovering a stolen bike did it with backup.

@iagox86@infosec.exchange It's amazing how much crime happens simply because the cops can't be bothered to deal with it. Would it be possible to bring a civil claim yourself through small claims court? Even if you win it might not magically get the bike back, but noncompliance with a court order at least has some consequences.

@iagox86@infosec.exchange Hypothetically, especially depending how long it's been since it was stolen, this might be an innocent third party who unknowingly bought a stolen bike. (But the vibe might be very different)
