Am I going to have to delete my Bluesky account now? Since they seem to want age verification.
It seems every time social media gets something right, it gets 2 more things wrong.

@kojoidrissa@fosstodon.org AIUI Bluesky doesn’t want it, but an increasing number of countries and US states are making it legally mandatory. So if they think you’re located someplace where those laws apply, they do this. Same thing with some of their mod services: they will auto subscribe you to certain legally-required ones based on where they think you are.
