Apparently my brain recognizes movement style faster than other visual cues. Don't know if that's usual or not, but I work in a place that basically rents mobility scooters in fursuits as an amusement ride. Sitting here overheated and not feeling my best at work, and a guy passed by with a regular mobility scooter. I came very close to embarrassing myself by flagging him down because in my tired and cranky state it took 3 or 4 seconds to realize it didn't have a plushie skin and wasn't stolen from us. TBF, he was zipping along at a speed I usually associate more with bored teens blowing off steam than disabled people trying to get errands done on a hot day.
