Americans who come to Ireland: you WILL be asked who you voted for. 99% of the time all you need to do is make it clear you hate Trump and everything will be grand and you will make friends.
If you’re up against one of the small minority of gammon-faced melts who love Trump, then first of all you need to leave that pub immediately because it’s shite, then obviously you tell them you hate Trump anyway, just because it’s funny to watch them go purple.

You know what? I love that tourists come here. I want more tourists to come here. But sometimes I think there should be a question at passport control at all Irish airports. “Do you understand why you shouldn’t order an Irish Car Bomb here?” And if they don’t have a clue then put them right back on the plane.
